Does anyone have pictures of or advice on mounting a saginaw pump on a 2F with a smog pump? Thanks, Drew

Search......I know there are pix of JT outfitter's under "Scout Budget", and a day or two later there was another thread with some home made ones.

Thanks, I'm definately on a budget. Can't spend $100 on a piece of metal.

You can weld or bolt a 70s GM V8 bracket to a piece of 3/16 plate drilled to attach unter the two front drivers side head bolts. It works, but it's sure ugly.

What are you guys using for pulleys? I only need a single groove, but want something close to the same size as my toy pulley.(assuming the toy ps pulley won't fit the Sag pump)

You can go to:

and scroll down to see how I made mine. Some flat plate will work great.

I went to tractor supply company and bought all my steering rod, ujoints, ect for $60.

Note: before you drill a hole for the pump, figure out how far your steeing rod, that goes to the steering wheel, needs to be from the frame.

Thanks, I've got the whole scout conversion done but the pump. Was going to try to use my stock toy pump with a cooler but decided that would be weak. Any suggestions on pulleys?

I wouldn't fool with a new pump if you already have one mounted and working. The Toyota pump will work. You just need a custom high pressure line.

The pressure that the Toy pump puts out is about the same as the Saginaw, ~1,100 PSI and the volume is about the same. Just like the Saginaw, there are lots of them in the junk yard.

I am currently running the reverse of this and all works fine. The GM pump puts out not quite 10% more PSI, so you will need a bit more driver input. Just call it "variable assist power steering" for better high speed driving control.
