Did you flip your rear springs or go with 55 springs?

how about a better side pic before you put those flairs on?

Nice job by the way...

I wish I could take credit for the work, I have no welding skills. It was done by Mark Whatley here in AK. The springs have been flipped. fronts to rear and rear to front. Due to the spring offset Iguess it is essentially the same as just flipping the rear. Due to the work load at Mark's shop it took a month, but was worth the wait (hence not being seen around town) As for the Heep parts I have some  CJ hood catches too! Cheap but effective. Gawd power steering is Awesome.

Green 73,
Can you ask Mark what pitman arm he used and what mods he did? Looks like it was heated and bent, and also had the tierod pivot ball welded in...
Thanks!

Hey Green,

Looks great!

What did Mark use to support the steering column/shaft at the firewall? Did he duplicate a Saginaw-type pillow block bearing setup or...? Thanks :D

So your traction bar doesn't use the ladder shackle that a lot of them seem to use. Any idea how you determine how high and how far forward the front mount needs to be? Should it be parallel to the ground?

the pitman arm is modified, some how cut and welded back together, then some more reshaping. So you are correct about it looking modified. it wasn't heated I don't think.

the steering column is from a FJ55, for the bering.

As for the track bar measurements, I really have no idea about how to determine the measurements, but will ask.

Your BS scession had nothing to do with the length of time it took. His D-shaft builder decided to go hunting before finishing my D-shafts. that added a week to the time:mad: . Sorry I missed you on your way through though.
