I was wondering if I could pick some brains ? I am building a lowered samurai to complement my other zuk on 34's . I want to make descent power but still be able to drive it . I have been told to look for the GTI shortblock , but can I make 150 HP without it ? I'm thining turbo or supercharger . Where shall I start ?? Thanx !!!!!

how did you lower your zuk....I got a zuk on 31's and want to lower my other one.....and what did you put on it for tires?

as far as engines, I got the same problem. I need an engine for the zukimoo but I'm not sure what to put in....



92 zukimoo with piston #3 gone,87 tin top, 88 soft top all covered in mud......

I just used those lowering blocks you can get at parts stores . I may use a 3.8 buick V6 if it get's too expensive to build the 1.3 . I'd rather build a high revving 4 banger though ....

Swift DOHC block := forged internals

If you are doing ANYTHING involving forced induction you need this.

I wouldn't run anything more than about a half a bar of pressure through the non-forged 1.3 engine. Even that is probably a stretch.

It is possible to buid a street engine with the power your wanting but you do need the right internal parts. I have built several oout of my shop.

Like my buddy said , we have about 15 samis between us including my 88 up on 34" tls's that I drive almost everyday (can you do that rock boys ?) . I started to feel bad buying samurais for $300 and selling you hammerhead "rock crawlers" the parts for a $600 profit . Not any more guys , break all the parts you want to , so I can pay my new car payment !! And as far as lowering the sami , I wasn't planning on one of those rice head booming stereo pieces of sh@t . I meant an eigth mile drag sami pushing 250 hp and stomping on hondas and nissans . I'm sorry if your little brains can't imagine doing anything else on a weekend other then driving over the same boring rocks and destroying all your body pannels . You guys have a blast .. And as far as that Fuc$#%g moron that said I can eat his little coctail wiener .. You are VERY lucky you are 500 miles away and on a computer . Frankly , it's none of anyones' fu@$ing business what I do with the motor . I should have known that no one here has enough brains or creativity to actually make horsepower out of the 1.3 . Instead , you just put 90000:1 gears in it like everyone else . Very creative guys ... As for gears....hello McFly this is a ROCK CRAWLING sight not a go fast sight! If you have not noticed we go light and slow here.

dude, its really easy. Just get a coffee can size exhaust tip, an air filter thats the same size with a chrome tube. Now if you really wanna make it go fast, you gotta make sure the hood is painted black, or perferably that carbon fiber wallpaper stuff. Make sure also to paint all the interior panels conflicting colors and add as many neon lights as you can. Oh ya, almost forgot, you need a spoiler that sticks up ATLEAST 6 inchs higher then the roof.
