Do race teams have to pay $15 a person to get more than their 2 crew members in? I know at Hannibal anybody with us was free.

Rokn
09-16-2009, 02:55 PM
That was Hannibal.

MOROC is a 3 person team. All others need to pay.

MOROC is giving away free kids tickets all who visit the MOROC website.

Print both sides and bring the tickets with you. Print them twice and recieve the free pass for both days! Use one ticket per child.

Tickets are for kids under 14 years old.

www.morocracing.com go to forums and click upcoming events

Also note, we have more entertainment for you and your kids!

Kids and adults can ride in the vehicles up and down hills, over rocks, and perhaps even through some mud. As a rider, you get to choose your driver. The driver will teach you/ your child about the controls and operations of the vehicle, what makes it go fast, what buttons work what, and maybe the team will even let you use some of the controls. These team members will also be available to sign autograghs and take pictures. The cost is $5.00 per ride and half the fees go back to the driver.

Also, Kids can WIN a chance to ride in the vehicles along with other great prizes. If they participate in a $1.00 raffle, they may be choosen to race remote control jeeps for a chance to win cool prizes. Included is free ice cream, pizza, movie tickets, t-shirts, ride in a rig, and more.
So, your kids could get a chance to race off road.

What is the approximate length of each course? How many different courses are we going to run on Sunday? Thanks

Rokn
10-01-2009, 11:19 AM
These are long courses that will run circles around the spectators. Some are longer than others. Probably all between a half mile and a mile long. 7 courses on Saturday. Not sure about sunday. The courses are still being cleared. I should know more tonight!

Thomas... don't forget the rc's! Thanks btw!

Not much of an update on the courses. Saturdays 7 were completely set... We shall see what the storm does to them tonight :(

Sundays new comp area is still being cleared. We will run a couple courses in there, but a lot of Saturdays courses will also be used. There are some GREAT obstacles in them plus new hill climbs. And, 3 new table tops, no gap jumps! Also turn left has become a new reality.

Wow ,what a weekend, we fought a motor issue all morning on Saturday, found the problem, the roll pin was working its way out of the distributor shaft and throwing off timing, fixed that . also found out that a
rock crawling steering system is wayyyyyyy to slow for woods racing

And on Thomas' first ever high speed woods race he gets FIRST PLACE!!:cool2:

At Sundays race he was doing great, till the front drive shaft broke, butt he was still in the hunt for a podium finish.......till the rear pinon shaft broke....took 14 minuets in peneltys.....:(

Thomas ended up 4Th for the day on sunday

A good weekend for his first try at "high speed " racing

Way different than rock crawling, I think he will get the hang of it.

Wow WHat a great weekend of racing at the SMORR Ranch. THe staff did a wonderful job as always and the steaks were awsome Friday night. Thanks to The Powells for the dinner on Friday and having such a nice place to host these events.

We had a blast as always and we were pushing the rig a little to hard on Sunday and with the rollover and the flat for 2 laps put us out of the run for 1st. Thanks to all the racers that came out to play and all the spectators and fans with out you guys we would just be driving through the woods. Nathan and the Davis family thanks for all the hard work and putting on events so we can show off and be young for a couple of days. Can't wait till next year.

We would like to thank our friends, families, and our sponsors that have been with us throuigh out the years and hope you will be part of our team again next year. STaun, Corbeau, SMORR, Indian Ridge Resorts, Edmonds Dental, Kching putters, Johns 4x4 and more, S and S Auto, and Brown Dog Motor Mounts.

A special thanks go out to John Loyd of Johns 4x4 and more for making the finals trophies they look awsome. See you all at the races.

It was a great weekend. Thomas did great, that kid can drive. Thanks again to the Davis family and all the staff, and judges. Cant say enough about the drivers. With the front 60 ring braking Sat morning at 2am before comp. Everyone was checking their sources for the part and guys stayed back with me while I limped back to camp. Then hung out while I checked out the damage at 3am. Thanks again to John Loyd for helping me find the ring and pinion.

After the roll Sunday with 2 courses left I had tons of help from the competitors I was running against to get me back running to complete the comp. You guys are awsome. SMORR is a top notch park from the facilities to the staff to the trails. Brandon hope that thumb heals quick!

Definatly a special thanks for Travis Snider. Sucks he didnt make it down for the event, he's been really busy lately. With out him I probably wouldn't have done any comps this year or have had a chance to meet so many great people.

Thanks again Everyone!!!!!!!! Hope to see ya on the trails soon.

This season took it's toll on everyone... a lot of headaches, rollovers, carnage, and suprisingly fires. I'm sure everyone, including myself, are looking forward to a long off season! :D

On a side note. I should have the 2010 rules posted by the end of October.
