Jtisdale 09-19-2002, 11:10 AM I figured out why I can't upload any photos to POR, my buddy using my camera reset the size from 640x480 to 1600x1200, can I manipulate the images to make them smaller so I can post?

redrangie 09-19-2002, 11:17 AM you're probably going to have to do each one individually John,
Use your software to open the pic, then resize, and change the resolution to 72 pixels per inch, as that is all that will show on a monitor anyway.
j
roverhybrids 09-19-2002, 11:30 AM hopefully you have photoshop?
If so on the top left click on image then image size.
reduce as necessary.

Serious One 09-19-2002, 02:00 PM I just got off the phone with Josh Weinstein. He's going to try to re-size some and mail them to me. He's in Eugene, and probably won't be to his high-speed connection until Monday.
These are the shots of UH BTW.
Troutrover 09-19-2002, 02:24 PM Josh is staying at my house in Eugene for a couple of days. I have a T1 at work so maybe I can get him to come in tonight and upload some pic's
Jtisdale 09-19-2002, 02:48 PM I sent some pics to Old Scout to "massage", I'm sure some of the other guys there just riding have better photos of the good stuff.
BTW there were two rolls, Brendon's brother Lance put his sweet Arles Blue wagon on its side and into Brendon's bumper on the nite run. Carey S. flopped hers on the last obstacle on Pritchett. She was trying the hero line and wasn't going to give up, luckily the damage was minimal. Aside from the rockcrawling there was the usual rally racing down the sand double track back to the road. I was a bit pissed that I got my ass handed to my by Carey until someone told me she won the Baja 1000(or some similar race) on a motorcycle. There isn''t anything quite like the feeling of running three wide, wondering who will give in and back off, at 50mph into a blind curve on a sandy road with 10psi in the tires. With that auto I would have to plant the pedal to the floor and left foot brake. When we got back to the road Tyler's dad, who was riding with me, turned to me and said "thats the most fun I've had all week!".

amen to that! they just basically paved a road in the middle of the woods up in VT and me and two of my buds had a blast doing powerslides at 35mph around the turns :D its REALLY fun in a 6000lb range rover with skinny 35" swampers at 9 psi and a narrow track width
the kid riding in the back of the truck in front of me said that the inside rear tire looked like it was getting light!

Yousef ReD90 09-20-2002, 07:09 AM Tis, you cray man. You must be on crack :flipoff2: for driving that thing for 30 hrs + with only softtop.

WBDISCO 09-20-2002, 12:04 PM Johnathan,
Is one of those white 90s Troy's?? The reason i am asking is because i bought his Disco from him when he was still in NC. I would like to send him some pictures of it now that i have gotten a hold of it. Peace
Brad (not tall Brad)
Jtisdale 09-20-2002, 01:10 PM Yes, Troy's is the one with the BetaWeld exo cage, I'll PM you with his email addy.

UPOVR 09-22-2002, 07:41 PM Any info on the green RR in the pic? I like his cut outs and flares. I've been looking for a set. Contacted ECR and they said the discovery one's wouldn't work and that there were not any available for Range Rovers?? Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
Bodgerover 09-22-2002, 08:18 PM Its hard to tell from the photo... but you could check with Graeme Cooper in Sydney, Australia. When I last checked he did 2 different sizes of flare for the Rangie - the larger are the same as the Rangie Spares [same as ECR??] and the ones in the photo look like the smaller...
But then again I could be wrong:flipoff2: \

SOLIHL 09-22-2002, 08:28 PM Rangie spares in Melbourne do flares for 2 door & 4 door Rangerovers. Have a look at http://www.4wdworld.com.au/outlets/rangie/rangie.htm
I have a set of their flares on my 2 door, which lets you cut a lot and still look OK, there's a pic at http://www.gudgyz.com.au/Newtyres.htm

UPOVR 09-22-2002, 09:29 PM thanks for the info. I'll check them out.

I take responsibility for the green range rover. It's not mine but I cut out the body and installed the flares on it. The flares come from a very top secret source known by the initials J.C. Whitney. They're called flexy flares and are just a universal fender flare material. I think they turned out OK given that they're my first attempt at Range Rover fender/door cutting. He's running 35" MTRs for now but I think he may have his eye on something larger.
untrakdrover 09-23-2002, 11:19 AM Who has the green pickup cab TDI D90. I like your tires. are they the Q78 Super Swampers?
Christian
UPOVR 09-23-2002, 02:30 PM Fear Factory:
I checked out the secret source J.C. Whitney and found the flares...I think. Did you get the universal type? which style, the exterior mount or the ones that mount onto a lip. If you got the lip type did you fab a new lip once you enlarged the wells? or did you just buy the 25ft roll. I like the price too...39.95 for a 25ft roll
Fear Factory 09-23-2002, 08:05 PM They're the universal exterior mount ones, I know he bought two rolls of it but the 25ft. one would be plenty. I didn't try and make a new lip, results of some people trying to do that have not looked good.
As far as the pickup cab 90 those are Q78s. All I know about the owner is that he's one bad sumbitch. Don't fuck with him.
tbmcneill 09-24-2002, 06:49 PM Tiz,
Nice pics. Where are the ones of Rocker Knocker???? :shaking: .... huhhhhh, never mind ....

what model and year is this one , I like that style
Jtisdale 09-26-2002, 06:17 AM Its a mixture of parts, mostly series and defender stuff. Galvy frame donated from an imported 90. TDI, crawler box, custom this custom that, yada yada yada. Jim Pendelton(who bears a slight resemblance to Bono when wearing his yellow tinted sunglasses) of Pendy Imports is the owner, pilot, and fabricator.
Johnathan
Fear Factory 09-26-2002, 09:25 AM About the only thing we used from the original 90 were the frame and body. Axles are from a LWB range rover which are setup for external front shocks in front so all I had to do was make the mounts to the frame. Like Jon says a lot of the stuff on there was made by Jim and I. It was kind of a rush job to try and get it trail worthy for the event. The ARB compressor was installed, wired and plumbed in the parking lot of the motel as were a lot of other things. It did pretty well for a first run, the only real problem is poor weight distribution, the light rearend makes for some extremely tippy situations.
Jtisdale 09-26-2002, 09:53 AM Hey Factory-
Sorry I didn't give you due credit in the other post. How's your auto conversion coming?:D
Johnathan
Fear Factory 09-26-2002, 03:18 PM Oh I'd say about as far as Troy's diesel conversion! :D Hey I got a great idea let's start an auto vs. manual thread. Maybe we can get it as long as how to make the front suspension move. I think some of those guys would be amazed you didn't wreck your 3-link equipped beast on the way to and from Moab.
