Anyone have pity on a non-jeep guy here.

My father in law has offered me a 1971 Jeep P/U. I think it said J4000 on the side. It looks pretty good metal wise, it's been sitting in the desert for years and has D44's front and rear. Side marker say Jeep V8 350 on it, which I think was a Buick engine.

The truck has some style to it and I think it would be a cool resto with some 33" on it. Can anyone give me a clue to the parts availibility for this, and is the Buick engine junk? Also, what tranny came in these, it's a stick?
I took some pictures but can't post them here yet, until I get my star next payday, so if anyone would post them for me I appreciate it.

that's where you'll find most of your answers. are you sure the rear isn't a 5 lug 60? i'm not sure which trannies came behind the buick 350, but the t-case is probably the d-20. suerte.
