No website update and no return phone calls after repeated messages?

Look around, I'm sure Casey posted his personal cell phone number.

As long as I've been into Rovers, the impending demise of Rovertym, Safari-Gard and LRL have been rumored to be imminent. So far, they are all still here and struggling like the rest of us.

I think they may be gone, again. I've tried Casey's cell several times over the past few months with no reply. I've emailed as well. I've been trying to give him money.

I'm not saying he is not gone (I have no idea), but he is active duty so he could be overseas.

wow, I can not imagine trying to run a business while still in uniform.

What branch, I could try a trace.

edit: hmm he is listed as a disabled vet

I do not know exactly what Casey is doing with safari gard. I do know that he and Greg had a big fight and no longer talk to each other. I know that PJ and Wyatt the 2 Fabricators that Greg trained to build the Safari gard stuff no longer work there. Casey is not active duty military he works as a mercenary for lack of better word. Other than hearing it from casey himself I would say Safarigard is done. Greg says he is not going to try to bring it back. I still have some SG stuff from when I was involved with it. I have a couple 3 links some droop kits and other odds and ends if anyone is interested.

I had a big order that they could only partially fill. I did get the front bumper and skid and it looks good so no complaints overall. But knowing what I know now my advice would be to steer clear!

That's a shame. I hate to see vendors going out of business. I've been really happy with everything I've got from SG.

I want some of the old school Stage III springs, not the OME set up they went with later. I'll give them a shout. Thanks

As my dad used to say "can't sell from an empty cart".

Since then, I've added "can't sell if you don't answer the fawking phone".

In this millenium/economy/etc. you gots to answer the phone or somebody else will. Schedule buster for sure, but why are you in business?

Guys,

Eddie at WCR is now the west coast distributor for SG. If you want something, call him and see if he has it in stock. Chances are he does, but if not, he is the most stand up guy there is. He won't let you down or take your money without planning on doing what he says. I would go this route for sure. Let Eddie deal with the SG part of it if you like the product.

Eddie taking over West Coast distribution is a smart move on both his part and SG's. Eddie is definitely a good dude and seems to always pick up the phone, which is what SG was missing in a big way.

I ended up going with LR NRC4304 springs for the rear. They are RRC police spec springs, red/white stripe, 17.7" free length, 170lbs/inch. Truck rides like a magic carpet now. OME764s were just way too stiff for my rig. These might be a good choice for guys with import 90's that lack the full cage and are lighter than most like mine. Best part, 9 pounds Sterling a piece from Paddock Spares! I had them in 5 days for a total cost of $108 delivered.

How do those springs compare to the stock rear in a DI? I need a couple inches of lift but I don't want it to ride like a buckboard.

Where they really 17.7"???

As the spring page is mine, someone else sent me an email two days ago saying they have measured old ones and new ones and found them all to be 17".

I think thats what I run in the front of my D2, ill have to check though. nice cushy front end that supports the bumper and stuff without sagging.

I did not measure them but I did compare them side by side to the OME764s that I took out and they were definitely a bit taller. I just measured the old springs and they are 16.5 and 17". Truck is almost exactly the same height as before but listing less.

Eddie says no bushings available. He is trying SG again. Very frustrating. I'd buy 10 sets just to have for my lifetime...

Any other ideas on SG replacement bushings?

Any other ideas on SG replacement bushings?

For the "Radius" arms?

If so, there are plenty of folks on Pirate building links whom I'm sure could build a pair of links that either used stock Rover bushings (ease of supply) or something even more easily sourced.

Centerlink? outer links? I've been pondering Johnny joints for the center link.

All of the above. Centers and outers.

My outer links are "rovertracks" versions but my centerlink is SG I think I might have a spare around, I remember it being very hard urethane, probably to handle the braking loads.
If we have dimensions chances are we can find them, I'm sure they weren't custom poured.

The bushings may be the same sizes as rear trailing arms if I remember correctly. So a Urethane version of the rear trailing arms to axle bushing may work.
