: Ballistic Zone Inauguration GIVEAWAY!
DrVic723 09-21-2009, 06:41 PM We're pleased to finally have an area where our current and prospective customers can come to learn about Ballistics latest innovations and news. We plan to use this forum to help open the communication bottlenecks previously encountered and let the consumers know what we're up to.
http://www.ballisticfabrication.com/assets/images/shocks/ShocksBanner.jpg
We would like to kick this off with a giveaway for one pair (2) of Hybrid 2.125" Hybrid AS/CO shocks and coils! These were featured in Extreme 4x4 and have been incredibly popular since their release.
We're going to try something new this time, we have never had any real stipulations in the past, but with tens of thousands on customers running around with our product on their vehicles these days, we figured we would give it a try.
http://www.ballisticfabrication.com/assets/images/shocks/coiloverair1.jpg
GIVEAWAY RULES:
You must post a picture of your vehicle that uses some sort of product obtained from Ballistic Fab. Does it have some shocks? An axle housing or Ballistic Joints? Even a sticker works for us. However, we also want a pic of our parts in use during any state of your build... from opening the box, to fabrication, to final use on the trail.
For those of you that are not previous customers of Ballistic Fab, order a
FREE CATALOG (http://www.ballisticfabrication.com/PREORDER--2009-Parts-Catalog_p_1674.html#) and snap a picture of it when you open the letter.
http://www.ballisticfabrication.com/assets/images/swag/2009-catalog-cover.jpg
EDIT: Drawing has been extended since we were able to ship over 300 more catalogs yesterday. We're adding one week to the date to give people some time to get them posted here!
New drawing held 10/28/09 @ Midnight
Drawing will be held 10/21/09 @ Midnight. Standard giveaway rules apply, red/yellow star is a MUST, no double posting, shocks should not be sold for profit without consulting Ballistic Fab prior to sale.

[Memphis] 09-21-2009, 08:21 PM I originally bought Ballistic Joints to replace the Heim joint on my RE1600 track bar, unfortunately the joint(s) proved to be too large for my application
I am back in school so mod time has dwindled... but I am planning to build a traction bar for the 8.8 I have sitting in the garage using the BF joints

I was showing a few pics to buddies of your beefy product... I think the beef speaks for itself,
3/4x3/4 LH Heim
3/4 LH 2" JJ
3/4 LH 2.63" Ballistic Joint
I've been following a few air shock builds in the XJ section and it's a route I'd love to explore in the future... since there is a possibility for these to be free however.... that is just simply amazing. It's a long shot but this would make an amazing birthday present for myself.... fingers will be crossed on October 3rd, for the 21st draw!

jopolly3 09-22-2009, 11:57 AM So I know I do not have any pictures of Ballistic gear on my current rig but my senior project is a rock crawler suspension for a YJ I am building. I was going to buy these 2 hybrids for the front and put coils in the rear. I do have a shopping list of Ballistic parts I will be ordering when one or two more pay checks roll in. I have been looking at these things for a LONG time and think they would be perfect for what I am doing.
This raffle could not be anymore perfectly timed for me (minus the need for photos of Ballistic parts) if I could be considered in this drawing it would be greatly appreciated and help make my life just that much easier. Thanks for the time:D
86CJ7Laredo 09-22-2009, 12:14 PM Well I have ballistic fab 60 hi steer arms but I dont have a pic of them installed. As well as the rig was cut up to start a new one. I can get you a pic of your sticker on my toolbox or a picture of the hi steer arms on a bare housing.

spidr 09-22-2009, 01:16 PM Sweet giveaway.
We just put a set of these on a customers truck, 16"ers in a toyota with a 3-link and a v8. Used 2.63s on the links.
Just got another order in for our personal trucks, 2.63s for my buddies truck, along with diff covers and my 3.0 weldons, and 1.25" heims with missalignment spacers for my steering. Never dissapointed with the quality.
One question though, I've thought about these for my K5Ton, but what is the weight restrictions for these?? It's a big bitch.
These are some of the parts for my bits......

lizard lips 09-22-2009, 06:28 PM I have a ton of stuff on my project and only getting more as the build goes on. Got all the joints on my links from you on my truck. Not only the joints but brackets, 14 Bolt Truss, spikes, shirts, skulls and the list goes on. Oh and what better gift for my birthday on 10-21 than a brand new set of Hybrid shocks from you guys. Thank you for giving us this chance.

mphudak 09-22-2009, 07:30 PM Ballasitic axle brackets modified to build a the long arm x-member. Lower c/a are using ballastic joints/tube adapters. Plans changed from radius to 3 link. Pics of my most recent package, parts for the 3 link upper link conversion- Ballastic joints/tube adapters/brackets. (don't have a pick of the 3 link yet, still working on it). Also used the Ballastic Housing Ends to convert a FF D60 to SF. Had to open them up a little to slip over the 60 tubes, but like the slip over design vs others on the market that butt weld to the tubes.

turbosniper1 09-23-2009, 12:11 PM This is a build I worked on last summer that involved your 3.0 Ballistic Joints, Heavy duty frame mounts, and also 3/4" Heims with tubing adapters and jam nuts. I have been purchasing parts from you for years for multiple builds, but this is the most recent and the most documented. I did a rebuild of the control arms and installed a new heavy duty long arm suspension system on the front that combined with your joints... flexed like no other!!! Here are a couple pics of the build up of the links and a finished picture testing in Moab for the first trip out, on the Moab Rim trail!

My '97 Ram 1500, the RamCrawler.. I have been planning to put the hybrid shocks on the front of it ever since they came out, but unfortunately can't afford them... so I will keep my finger crossed on this one!!!! I am currently running 3/4" heims with tube adapters and jam nuts, and 1 1/2" x 1/4" wall DOM that I got from you, that I turned into the tie-rod, drag link, and the panhard bar.
Thanks for the chance Dr. Vic!!

rokdMJ 09-26-2009, 04:34 PM Well, here is my entry!
This is almost done with welding all the brackets onto my Dana 30 HP that went into my 2000 Cherokee. (thanks to mh4runner for doing the nice welds and use of his shop!)
http://imageleft.com/images/image484.jpg
I seriously haven't even finished the Jeep, and took it to Big Dogs Offroad in Gore, VA this past weekend, and here is the Cherokee flexing on the RTI ramp there.
http://imageleft.com/images/picture001.jpg
That's the only picture I could find of it from the whole weekend, aside from being on the trailer, but everyone spent more time wheeling than brushing up on their photography skills. As you can see, the bumper is unpainted, and it still needs a few more cuts and some finishing touches.
The coilovers would be really nice for when I link the rear of it and drop some bigger axles in, probably sometime this winter, depends how far my funds can go for axles and links...
I do have to admit, the bracket kit I bought was a bit frustrating to set up, but none-the-less, I am very happy with the end result. It received a few battle scars over the weekend, but nothing is bent or anything.
EDIT: For clarification, the bracket kit is the Ballistic parts on my rig. It will soon sport a sticker too! Thanks guys!
