I'm in the process of swapping a LQ4 6.0L into my '98 Jeep TJ. The motor is out of '07 Hummer and is drive by wire. I have a built 700r4 that I would like to use, but am not sure what options are available to use this combo. I would like to convert the DBW back to a cable throttle body. Is this possible? I believe '07 came with 90mm TB and earlier (pre '04) had an 80mm TB. If I can locate an earlier style will it bolt on to current intake?? I realize there will need to be some PCM reporgramming/replacement to work, but not sure about the TB swap.
Thanks for any info you may have!

N8To run the 7004 you need to convert to a cable TB to connect the TV cable. But the 07 ECM won't run the cable TB IAC etc. So you'll have to switch to a 02 earlier ECM and harness.

It might be easier just to run a 4l60/65/70. And reuse your 07 stuff, if you have everything. Or you could just go full manual valve body as well.

Actually the trucks with three bolt TB's (07-down) all have the three bolt 78mm throttle body all of them (4.8/5.3/6.0). There is an exception the LS2 used in the SSR and TBSS (6.0l truck intake) has the 4 bolt 90mm DBW TB. The 07 and after Gen IV TB are 4 bolt DBW with out a TAC box and have 87mm on the 4.8/5.3 and 90mm on the 6.0/6.2l
