I've tried searching and only came up with the $50 flex line from tsm.
What brake line can I find in the junkyard to fit my rear calipers. I've tried astro vans and a wagoneer today. The bolts were to small for calipers.
The only other option I can think of front chevy truck lines, but I would rather have something shorter.
My calipers are '75 44f chevy's

I saw a post on this a few days ago, try searching, I think the lines they were talking about came off of a monte-carlo or some fullsize chevy car, check it out.

Any car application with GM large calipers, the Astro is a small caliper, the Wagoneer should have been okay. You're using junkyard brakelines? Are you re-using the brake fluid out of the junkyard relics too? Get your v-belts from the 'yard too? Go to the parts store and look in the brake hose catalog, cheap ass.

Cheap Ass? What do you mean, there is a good possibility that they can save up to $10 from junkyard hoses. I mean what's the big deal, it's only brakes...

Why don't you just use the brake hoses for the model of vehicle that the calipers came from. I used calipers from a 1980 chevy 1/2 ton 4x4 so that is what I got the brake hoses from.

The wagoneers bolts were to small. Just the right lenght though.
Cheap ass-- somewhat you got any money you would like to share with me.:flipoff2: The only new lines I am aware of are the tsm ones which are $50+ and the stock ones which are $40+. Besides there are still alot of good usable parts in the junkyards. You just have to look harder.

I hate giving away my secrets but what the hell....use a W100 front outer brake line in about the 78' range. The lines are about 5" long have the 7/16 bango fitting and a 3/16"3/8-24 female connection. they work great and look excellent and best of all they are $12.49 at autozone for brand new ones!

I'll snap some pics of my rear lines while I'm home this weekend, I got them from Napa for about $10 each, i just picked them out of the catalog, they are just long enough to go from the caliper to the axle tube, where I welded a tab and threaded them onto the hardline through a hole in the tab. Long enough to take the caliper off, short enough to be out of harms way.

I was looking at a dodge and decided to pass. Fawk $10 for a line. I see nothering wrong with buying new ones, I just didn't want to spend $50 on something to small. I'll pull some off at the junkyard to test fit and get new ones after.

On a side note whats the going rate for a junkyard 14b?
I am getting one this weekend and they are $40. Last year I paid $26.

:flipoff2: all that was about getting from the distribution block to the flex lines. & Adapting to the hard lines. Plus it wasn't very clear.
