What's the largest tire that will fit on a 15x8 rim with 2 3/4" backspacing and not rub the springs on full lock? I've read/been told 31-10.50 is the max and I've also been told 33-12.50 from another reputable source. What do you guys out there find?

Thanks

This is almost an answer to your question: I'm running 35-12.50x15 Mud Kings on 15x8 w/2" BS and they are no where near rubbing the leafs lock to lock. Stock front Sami axle.

Hey Walt,
I have 33 12.5 BFG mud t's on petroworks 2 3/4" BS wheels. I only get a little rub(read slight) full right. but this is with stock or 2" spring in stock locations. When I went to YJ 2.5 springs I had to mount them inward 1/2"

Thanks for the info guys. Looks like those rims will be okay for my needs.

I think it's going to really depend on what tire you plan on running. I've got 31x10.5 TSL's on 15x8 2.75bs and the outer lug is maybe an inch from the spring on full lock. I think 33x12.5 TSL's would definately rub.

Then again, TSL's are a very aggressive tread so treads like BFG MT's might be fine.

Edit: Oh yeah, I'm also running YJ springs so they are .25" closer to the tire than stock springs.
