I have a 4.0 discovery with a zf4hp22. I did a search and found nothing on the stall speed of the rover torque converters here. does anyone know the stall speeds. What information I did find on the web says that the v8 converter stall at lower speeds that the diesel. The articles did not state the speeds tough. Any one know the stall speeds?

Put it in drive hold the brake, floor it and see what it revs up to. Probably 2000 RPM's or so. Thats your stall rpm.

it's in the factory manual if you have one of those in the transmission troubleshooting section.
