I had to do a little work on the old 6.2L today and much to my surprise the bolts are all metric. It's an '82 so I thought it would be imperial. Ya learn something new every day I guess.:p

LOL... I don't know metric from a hole in the ground. :p All that means is that every vehicle I own right now has a mix of metric and imperial fasteners. I wish that someone at these damned car companies would make up their mind.

Just to let you know, the water pump on the 6.2 is held on by 14 metric bolts...4 of them are underneath the injector pump. I discovered that the hard way. I just figured I'd let you know.

Metrics are kewl. 'Never gotta stop and think "what's the next size up or down?". It's just that GM likes to use the whole damn set! :( Ever work on a German car? REAL nice all odd sizes (9mm, 11mm, 13mm, 15mm, 17mm, 19mm) except for brake fittings which are even.

No, they are not all odd
You will find very often 6mm, 8mm, 10mm, 14mm, 22mm, 24mm but very seldom 9mm and 11mm.

The thread sizes are almost all even. 6, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16...
