Im getting a cabover camper, a longbed model lance. I have a utility bed on my ford f350, longbed. Im wondering if it will fit on a utility bed? Or if anyone can point me in the right direction of where someone has done this, i cant find anything online of someone doing this, unless is was a complete custom set up. anyone?

I'm going to say a tape measure will be your friend here.

if i remember correct the utility bed center is deeper then the camper.. so you would need to make a platform for the camper to sit on.. which would then raise the entire thing( weight, center of gravity, etc)

measure there are different hieghts on different beds . A friend of mine just used 4x4s 8' long and screwed plywood to them and it worked perfect

There are so many different sizes of utility bed, I doubt anyone here can tell you if your camper will fit your truck without measureing it for you. I have seen it done, but the utility bed is always a short side model where the bed rails stay below the rear window line like a pick-up bed.

You will probably need a platform to raise the lance up to clear the utility bed.

It will have to be custom.

there arent even any manufacturers that build "universal" slide in campers for flatbeds, let alone utility beds. Simple because there are so many variables.

That said, have you considered building your own?

Im currently in the planning stages of building an Expedition-type tilt-top camper for my Powerstroke flatbed. And recently addicted to Google Sketchup:homer:
