Riding along and spotted a large bird of prey flying 100 yards in front of me close to the ground. The bird rounded a curve and when I exited the the curve, I couldn't see him. I drove about 50 yards and he flew up from behind me, and started gliding besides the vehicle, flying between the vehicle and a slight hill. I came to a stop, and he landed in the ditch with water and just stared at me, like, he was saying: "Why did you stop?"
I didn't have my camera with me, but remembered the trail camera. I just knew he would fly off by the time i unscrewed the cover, turned it on, and eased it out the window to take a picture. I only got one shot of the owl before he flew away.
