trd55 09-20-2002, 12:56 AM I have a friend tht bought a rebuilt split case. The problem is that it did not come with output flanges. My quetion is: Are the output shafts fine splined like the pinion shaft?? and can they be swaped??? BJ On Roids 09-20-2002, 06:32 PM depends on what pinion you got, although it might work temporarily....cause im sure the fine spline one would fit on one of my outputs!?! different country different gear though....maybe..... the big steel ring that goes around is different...but im not sure it actually does anything texican 09-20-2002, 07:39 PM I'm not sure of the year Toyota changed, but the later (85) for sure have a much larger shaft diameter, going to the front..and the flange patttern is larger..had to redrill a CV type shaft off of an 82 because of this.
