We will be there Thursday - Sunday with buggies.(Two red ones,orange one, & Camo with sammy hood) Stop in and say hello.

What and where is the DIXIE RUN ?


It's an event held annually by SFWDA at Tellico except this year it will be at Golden Mountain (Sparta, TN). It's next weekend if you want to come out. There's vendors, prizes, competitions and trail rides. Plus you get to meet everyone else there. You can go to SFWDA.org to find out more info.

This event is very important because it raises money to go towards the Upper Tellico OHV area.

Wish I could but tied up with getting ready to go into the hospital at 6AM the following Monday. :(

I'll be there Friday afternoon through Saturday night, helping cook breakfast Sat. morning with MTTR.

Little birdies tell me they plan to be filming Friday afternoon @ Bounty Hill and would LOVE to get some tape of someone making it to the top :D:D:D:D:D

Southern Four Wheel Drive Association is pleased to announce that Xtreme 4x4 RTM Productions will be at the 2009 Dixie Run, Golden Mountain Park south of Cookeville, Tennessee. They will be there to film this year’s event, to be held October 2-4, 2009 we look forward to having them part of the media covering the event.



Make sure and check out the Southern Four Wheel Drive Association website http://www.sfwda.org/dixierun/ for up-dates and on-line registration for the event.

Another update!

Those people interested in just coming to spectate WILL be able to buy a Spectator ONLY "day pass". The cost will be $10 per person per day, and you will need to park in a designated spectator parking area and walk a couple hundred yards to view some of the best obstacles.

This is a good opportunity if you don't have a running rig, and you'd like to get in on the action AND most importantly - support the Rescue Tellico effort!

All I'm going to say is if you didn't come, you made a huge mistake. This was by far the best Dixie Run I've been to. I can't thank SFWDA enough for putting this together.

I suggest if there is ever another event at Golden Mountain that you show up and check it out. Rocky has one of the sweetest parks I've visited.

I had a great ride Friday, Friday Night, Saturday and How bout the Golden Mountain opening up the Race track for everyone to come out and play! These guys even turned on the lights! I look forward to riding there again!

Can we get your screen name changed to Speed Racer? The bronco race was by far the highlight of my evening. Follow that up with the stock 4Runner running hot laps behind you guys. Best trip I've had in a while :grinpimp:

Great event, great trip, great people, great trails. Oh, and the Saturday night at the races was great as well.

The fact that the bronco boys were brothers made it even more entertaining.

That was the most fun I've had with my clothes on in a long time !!!! I still giggle just thinking about it. Great time for sure!!!

A little more info...

He took it wheeling the first night and bent the skid plate under the truck. The next night he took it out on the track. Daniel is a wild man. I saw some big $$$ rigs not even take theirs around and he blasting it around the oval like Days of Thunder. hilarious :laughing:

There may be more but I wasn't camping with him. Maybe some of those guys can tell us more. I know he disappeared for a little bit after the race so he may have had it back on the trail :eek:

Saturday night was a great way to end an awesome weekend . All the work we did on the track was worth it just to watch those 3 guys sat. night.
