Anyone running toy axles with a steering setup that allows full potential of the turning radius? My zuk barely turns sharper than a bus, not the short one either.:flipoff2:

What are you running for steering?

Right now crossover steering with a geo pump and box. I want to upgrade to something that will actually feel like power steering. I was debating the celica route or the toyota ifs on the outside of the frame rail like fatkids. I have the parts already for the ifs route. I know either will help with the actual steering but I am also really wanting to get the full potential of the turning radius.

Well on toy axles on the backside of the knuckle there is an adjustment bolt that sets your stop have you looked at it. the second would be does your current gear box allow the full swing
I have the IFS set up and it works well

RUDE is that while sitting still (I would think)or moving??????:D I think I bemember you boosted the pump pressure,no?

Well, I installed an S10 Saginaw pump and had a high pressure line made to feed the Celica box. It works way better than the stock Celica pump. Matter of fact I haven't even thought about the P/S since I put it in. As far as turning radius, I am running some of Kong's second gen arms now. They have some slightly different geometry than the first ones and it seems to have made a huge difference for me (Keep in mind I also moved my Celica box forward 4-6 inches). I may have just had the box too far forward for the original arms. All's I know is I can whip it around in a culdesac now and I gotta be careful not to roll it :D

Well, I guess I have a two part problem, one: the power steering setup I have now isn't getting the job done in 4low in tight situations where I need it the most so I am getting rid of it one way or another. My main question is I don't think the geo box and pitman arm has enough "throw" to turn the tires to there maximum potential. When my tires turn, on both right and left side I have about an 1" gap before the knuckle/kingpin will hit it's built in adjustable stops. Does this make sense? I could take a picture because I don't think I am explaining it very well. I was looking at it last night after work and I might be able to extend the draglink and reposition the pitman arm on the gear box but I really don't think it's going to help, the pitman arm is so short I just don't think it is possible for it turn the tires far enough.

U splain fine lucy, just kiddin you need a longer pitman arm
but if your going to get rid of the box get it then The IFS box has a long throw and spider trax or AA for the pitman arm
