The upper one is mine, the bottom is a friends.
Upper is Imble kit,DSA receiver, furniture??(got it in trade), my flashider.
Bottom is Imble, short barrel and SloCat mag realease, DSA extended safety, Tapco grip.
I did both in Satin Black Gunkote.

why does the lower one look like it's got a notch out of the top?

You may wish to trim off some of that extended safety as it will dig in the top of your thumb while shooting :D

That one does not belong to me! I will let him trim it up. I will shoot it some to "check it out' for his safety before I return it:laughing::laughing:
Edit: WOW! It is real easy to get to and operate, but in the fire position, I see what you are talking about! DIRECTLY against the thumb !

I have one too and I just rest my thumb on top of it while I'm shooting. Haven't gotten bit yet.

Yea, I found that by searchin on the net, but wasn't sure if that was it or not... cause umm, that makes no sense to me.. fully automatic ....
