i came up on a d44 from a early 80's full size wagoneer and it was a in the diff cad.

is there a stock known shaft that i could just replace it with or are they a custom order peice?

it didnt have the cover but i figure a regular d44 thick cover and a peice of flat stock would solve that.

From my undersanding, these are the bastard child of 44's. There is no support for them, so if I were you I would try and find something else. If it were as easy as a shaft replacement I'm sure more people would be doing that rather than scrapping them.

Gears and stuff are the same and just get a short side inner for a non cad axle its the same length as the two peice cad inner.
