This is a Suzi owned by a guy in Sydney Steve Azzopardi. He has done an amazing job getting this together. It started as factory coil sprung Sierra (Samurai) He has then gone to town on it. 2,0 litre Vitara (Sidekick) engine with auto tranny and rockhopper transfer case, all new coilover suspension with new arms etc. the frame has been notched so the coilovers dont foul, tubbed rear wheel wheels front fenders trimmed. He's running 35" and as you can see it flexes like crazy yet it still sits nice and low. The quality of work is mind blowing, beuatiful to see.

What kind of axles are those? Is that a D35 in the front and a 9" or Sidekick in the rear?

with that link bar setup you sould ask him how much rear steer he has looks like a hole lot to me (look like my first rig the ramp queen) it had so much rear steer that i did not even like driving it the work looks good though

Hew scwa, I'm down here in Peru and went to the zuki dealer to buy one. I'm hoping it comes in before I have to leave to come back to the states. I'll give you a price on monday when I go to the dealer again. Maybe I can help a you out. :D

Nice show truck.:flipoff2:

I saw a guy mount his coilovers at a 45* angle like that before.... made for a wild ride, Very unstable. Worked good on a ramp, wasn't worth a shit for anything else.

Hey Grimbo ,I'd be more impressed if he spent some money on a decent spare tyre .A 205x16 BALD bias ply looks kinda what you'd expect from a cockroach . As for the mounting of those rear coilovers ,can you say "body roll" on a side slope .

Too much flex to be useful.........

Very poor front to rear flex balance.........

Body roll out the wazoo.........

Lotsa rear axle steer.......

Otherīn that, itīs prolly a great rig...:p

The front clip that Scwa is talking about is different to the earlier model Zooks in that it wont just bolt straight on. There are lots of little differences that make it a major PITA a$$. Certainly not a bolt on.

Damo is right,

If you look at some other images of other new style SJs the curve at the back corners of the hood are very much more rounded (where they transition from horizontal to vertical).

That being said, maybe it is just the hood that is different to match up with the different shapes at the root of the windsheild? Use your original hood.

The SJ fenders are simple to mount, if they are different probably not a big deal to make work. From there forward, probably not a big deal either at the grille, maybe just tweaking the body mounts is required.

It probably isn't a bolt on proposition though.

Yes, this is something I've thought about doing too. :)
