Hi all..
Does anyone have any piccies of their rear shock setup (running longer shocks, but not coilovers or anything) on a Defender or Series?
I still haven't got round to make up new shock mounts for my 14"Bilsteins as I'm not totally sure what to do for the top and bottom mount.
I've got RR axles under my Series by the way..
I've got replacement standard shock mounts for on the axle that can be welded on (I got rid of the old ones when I made the axles fit on leafs) but they're made for the standard shocks which have a pin at the bottom. The Bilsteins have an eye.. So that would need to be changed.
And I still don't know how I'm going to shape the top mount. It has to extend all the way up into that corner where the top of the wheelwell angles down again in front of the wheel. It's gonna be a tight squeeze to get those shocks in but it should fit when the mounts are made up properly.
Anybody got any pics or ideas?
