Is anyone contacted Honda, Toyota, Yamaha, etc.? What are these companies doing to help us out in this fight? Once everything is banned where are they planning on selling these products? After reading about that Ford crap in the last few days Dodge sold 2 new 2500 Diesel trucks because I managed to steer to freinds away from Ford with that info. <IMG SRC="smilies/thefinger.gif" border="0">

Or for that matter contacting aftermarket companies that are making their living off of OHV products. It is after all their livleyhood that will disappear or at least change if all OHV is limited if not completely banned.

It's kinda funny you mentioned this. I was at the Jeep Club meeting last night and this very subject came up.
I want to find out who to e-mail aat the different companies to get that info. If you have any links please e-mail me.

<font color="yellow">This came up a while back, when the Ford/audubon thing first hit the presses... I said I was going to start a letter a week eriting campaign to Manufacturers asking them for support...
I dropped the ball. <IMG SRC="smilies/frown.gif" border="0"> Sorry, no excuses.. Just kept putting it aside and I forgot about it...
I would love to say I could do it now, but I don't have the time to do the research. If everyone wants to pick some companies to write to, maybe Start a seperate "Write a letter to the ----- Company tread" for each company we want to contact. Then everyone can help gather info and post it, and when we have enough, Myself or anyone else can write a letter, we can all comment/ edit it. Then Mass distribute it to all our lists and flood the companies with letters from current/prospective customers (us)....
Maybe even a form letter that we could modify a bit to suit each company??
What do you guys think??</font c>

Sounds good, I'm off the next few days I'll see what I can find out about the big automotive companies and such. I noticeed on the guys that are trying to keep the Imperial Dunes open (don't remember the group), that Chapparal and Glendale Honda both supported their efforts with donations. I think if more people shopped there and told them I'm here because you support___, that would help. Also tell them why you're not buying their products.

So I hop over to Toyota's website figuring I'll start with them first and fina link to www.earthday.com (http://www.earthday.com) . So in browsing this great resource for misinformation I see under the car free day banner this quote, "the use of fossil fuels have a devastating effect on human rights..." What??? They have these tag phrases that they just throw into conversations that don't make sense. I also have the feeling where Toyota stands with that link on their site but I'll give it a shot.

www.toyota.com/html/about/enviroment/organizations/index.html (http://www.toyota.com/html/about/enviroment/organizations/index.html) This is the page to see Toyot's involvement with the green movement. At first my heart sank but after reading them it seems pretty positive.
