Ok so here is what happened. I have an 88 GMC pickup k1500. I noticed during the summer that the passenger side rear body mount on the cab was a little cracked. well i didnt worry too much and kept on drivin it. Well i got to pismo for the first time since school started and i was going up this dune which was very small compared to the others i had been on that day, Well i end up going too fast and ended up seeing some sky, well later that day i looked and its seemed the cab was leaning to the right, i looked under and the whole body lift block is in the cab and that side of the truck is like 2 in lower because of it

So now my question : how in the hell do i go about fixing this? I figure what i'll have to do is jack the cab up on that corner with a 4x4 post and cut out the section it went through andweld in a new sheet of metal for the mont to connect to. Sounds simple but Is that what needs to be done or is it more complicated than that?(i am sure it is)
Thanks for the help
Dave

The only part you missed was welding a nut on the back side of the plate in the right place for the bolt that goes through the body block and holds it all together. I did the same thing to my front one, first time I ever tackled something like this (even had to buy a welder never welded before) turned out great been on there over a year and still looks like the day I did it, exept for alot of mud and stuff.
