: mtr price question
I am going to buy a new set of Wrangler Mtr's 35x12.5015 and i need rims also. I called around and the best price i could get was a buddy price of 995.oo dollars for A set of 4 tires and four black rockcrawles 2.5 b/s toy lug pattern. This includeds mount and balance and shipping and tax. I have talked to some people and they say "thats a buddy price?" SO i was just wondering what yall thinkis a far price for that set up thanks:confused:
FatA$$ Toyota 09-22-2002, 02:20 AM I say buy'em!!
I looked on my normal sites and that is a pretty good price.
Better than anything I found without dickerin around the price.
ChrisE 09-22-2002, 01:05 PM Search the for sale section. There is somebody on there selling an almost new set of 35" MTR's for $500.
TNToy 09-22-2002, 01:10 PM Going price on 35s is 155 X 4 = 620
$50 wheels X 4 = $200
So that's $820 total so far. M&B is aroungg 40-ish, and that leaves the rest for shipping. That's a good normal price... not a BUDDY price, IMHO.
TNTOY thats what i thought also thats exactly why i posted this question and becasue maybe somebody in nor cal or close has a set they may want to sel 35's or 37's. Thanks.
I hate thinking i am getting a deal and then somebody says they could have gotten them for cheaper the day after i buy them. Oh well  :trooper:

Is the TIRERACK a ligite place. I pay them will i see my tires or not has anyone used them. Thanks guys for the help.  The whole set of tires (37's) shipped and tax is 770.96 thats cheap yeah i will have to get rims but black steel rims can not be that exspansive
zachv 09-23-2002, 07:24 AM The Tire Rack is probably the largest wholesale seller of tires in the country. They had ads in all the car mags. You will have no problem with them.
That said, I have heard that you can take their price to Sears or whatever and get them to match it. FWIW.
I am going to order them friday on payday. I went to my local les schawb to get some rims and seehow much to mount them they said the would not mount the tirs cause i did not buy them from there:flipoff2: how lame they gave me the run around on insurance reasons:rainbow: so i assked them how much they could get them and they said 245 a tire i laughed histarically at them and then i left so i have to find another place oh well hope i dont get the run around on this cause all i want is to get my tires on:mad: thanks guys for all the help:beer:
yager 09-23-2002, 05:12 PM 1 more tirerack happy customer....
i order 5 35" MTRs from tire rack about 3 weeks ago, they misshipped one (sent a 315/75R16) but immediatly sent a replacement and a call tag, no questions asked.. They even call me at work to verify when i selected my zuke as the intended application.
As far as installing them i used my $35 harbor freight manual tire machine and it took 5min each to install on my rims... I dont balance mine...

BrettM 09-23-2002, 05:27 PM I went into a Big O tire store with a quote (on Kumho MTs 33x12.5r15 for $96) from Tirerack.com. They said that they normally have a pricematching policy but it doesn't apply to Tirerack because they are wholesale. They wanted $50 per tire more..... I walked out laughing...
Yeah i learned today after calling every shop in town that tirerack is a wholesale and that tire shops get them from there at that price so they can not match or even come close to it. THanks for the link. 175 a tire is a steal I know where to get them know. so i f anyone has a set a black steel rims for a toy they want to sell let me know:bounce: :bounce2: :fj:

zachv 09-25-2002, 04:40 AM Call Gary at GW tire at 609-758-0077and tell him Zach from Iron in the Pines sent you. Our club has a deal with the guy and he may be able to drop ship to you for a decent price. He was the cheapest for me when I just bought Swampers, but I didn't have to ship.
Worth a shot.
