I took Kate to the local wheeling spot today and gave her a once over with the lowering and the wheel spacers.

After I twisted up the springs some the height now with 5# in the front and 3# in the rear is 81" and the width is a kick-ass 87".

I removed the bumpstops in the front and I left the ones in the rear. Springs are stock FJ-40 front and stock FJ-55 in the rear with 1" over stock shackles on all 4 corners.

Flex is outstanding now without the bumpstops. I really need to put them back on since I am getting into the drag link on the Passenger side and into the top of the shock on the drivers side now at full flex.

I twisted Kate to the max and there is no problem hitting any sheet metal anywhere :D

Spacers: I really like the extra stability today. I got in some nasty 40* off camber places and it felt like old times.

If I had more air in the rear tires it would have felt even better on the side hills.

The only downside of the spacers is that I can tell that the steering is harder when the detroit is locked even with the hydeo assist. I only ran 5# of air in the front and I usually have 8#.

On my 2F, I had an AGR pump and on this LT-1 I am still sporting the stock pump and it just does not turn as well as it did before the engine swap. I may get this pump juiced up like AGR does them and see how it does.

Here are some action shots.....

Bigpopparock followed me into a nasty spot and his shackle reversal towers dug in deep and I had to strap him out!

He his so hard on the front that if he had an air bag it would have deployed! He bent the CRAP out of his steering wheel!

He just laughed!

they have held up well to super low crawling across mall speed bumps with my 35s on, i have enough armour all to cover them, so they dont get any traction, this should preserve my 30 splines a lot longer
plus im only a mall wheeler, so i hardly think there will be a problem :D

Nolen we must have just missed you. We were out there with two defenders and an old bronco. That tubed k5 was down by the river right when we showed up and that camo FJ was up at the top area (by moss rock) when we were playing in that area. We should definately meet up out there sometime. Would have been cool to wheel with you. We spent the majority of the day on Sparky's trail seeing what we could mess up there. Too bad we missed you.

yeah that slab rock lips up- ofer the top and then maes a crevas tothe big rock to the right. i got my frontend up and over and then my axle tube hund on the top of the slab rock. even the 42's were not enough. i had mike shannon there with me and he found a rock and would trow it infront of my rear pass side tire that was in the crevas so i could get the axle tube off the rock. i'd drive over the rock and then slam back down on the axle tube. he'd have to grab the rock from behind the tire and put it back in front. he did this like 4 or 5 times until i finally cleared it. it was a fun one. that whole area right there is fun. i need to go back out there.

Yeah, I know what you mean

I myself did not go through that much effort.....where the hell was Big Mike when I needed him to toss some rocks!

I got my front end over fine, but my rear was completely hung and it even taxed my winch to get me unhung!
