thegoofster21 10-08-2009, 05:46 PM yota axles someday
Baratacus 10-08-2009, 10:07 PM don't go over like a 33 untill you get the yotas... The sami axles will do fine on 33's and smaller unless you get too crazy on them. A good preformance piece for the engine and still CARB legal, is the thorely header. One of the nicest things you can do for your 1.3L engine.
A taller upper shock mount and longer shocks will give you some more droop... You do realize that your trailer is for hauling jeeps don't you? :shaking:

thegoofster21 10-09-2009, 08:31 AM just a thought a have a chevy pass drop 44 68" from wms to wms if cut it down to 61" and did a tacoma rear. do you guys think it would worth my time and money or should i just go with toyota front?
bigyota 10-09-2009, 08:38 AM sweet lookin' sami. just a little advice, find some YJ's springs and use them instead of the stock sami springs. i have built two already and one of them ran on stock springs for three years as a DD. we brought it in the shop and installed 2.5" YJ's, toy axles and running 37" iroks, as a DD. the other one we built last month for a girl we wheel with. used stock YJ's, stock sami axles and running 33" boggers as a DD. it is amazing the differents between the two springs. not only in street performanc as a daily driver but off road the flex is unbelieveable. just my two cents.
once again, sweet sami and a good start on her.
rattlecan78 10-09-2009, 09:03 AM I like d44's however I appear to be in the minority if your gonna cut it down take it all off the drivers side and you can use an early bronco long side shaft talk to offroad designs about the shaft length they were very helpful when I called and make sure you order a shaft that will take the same size ujoint as your chevy does early broncos ran a smaller joint in the knuckle

ive heard a lot about yj spring. they seem to work really good.lucky for me i have an 04 tacoma i drive as a DD so the sammi is more of just a wheeler. whats your wheel base with the 37s
