so heres whats up. I am still trying to do the powersteering on my bronco. Everytime I get one step closer to being done, something else slows me down again. Anyways, I now have the box mounted on the frame. I bought the bracket form wild horses. Today I juts ordered the pump bracket and a new yoke. My next step is the steering column.

Does andyone know if you need to shotren the steering shaft? If, so, how much, and what is the best way to do it?

Thanks a lot
Lou

The only person that can tell what you have to do to your steering shaft is you. You have to measure it, see how long it needs to be and shorten or lengthen accordingly.

If you want a hint...From a wrecking yard yank a steering column from anything that is a slip type. Not a rag joint but the kind that slips in and out to allow for body flex and collapse if needed. Just graft it on to your present shaft, use a u-joint at the box end.
