Lame ass question I'm sure, but I couldn't seem to find the right search words. I pulled my rear toy third from my sammi and it had some kind of silicone seal and the locked one I got to put back in only has remnants of a paper gasket. Also there are several differant colors of rtv if I go that route. What are your opinions guys?

Gray RTV, small bead, slightly more than finger tight on the nuts, let set up for a few hours and then torque it down.
