: Narrowd 404 housings w/shafts xtremexj94 10-14-2009, 02:45 PM I've got front and rear Unimog 404 housings narrowed 7" by Exaxt with the appropriate inner shafts. HOUSINGS AND SHAFTS ONLY - NOT COMPLETE AXLE ASSEMBLIES. I've gone to Mog9 centers so these are available for quick sale. $1100 for the whole works. Well, if you go to Exaxt's website and have a look at what you would pay for having housings and shafts narrowed you will see that this is a good price. $375 x 2 = $750 to narrow 2 housings $265 x 2 = $530 to narrow 2 shafts $130 x 2 = $260 for 2 stock housings $150 x 2 = $300 for 2 stock shafts ------------------ That totals $1840. So $1100 is nearly half price as stated. Even if you were sending them your housings and shafts to narrow, you'd still be looking at $1280. So my parts are still less. Most people wouldn't buy housings and axles if they have complete axles and housings and axles are useless without the other parts.
