I have a 1994 F-150 with a 302. I have a oil pump sludge build up problems. I have been using 10w-30 for 5 years and changed the oil every 3000 miles.

My problem is that ever 16-20K miles the oil pump goes out. The screen clogs up with sludge build up.

Do you guys have any idea what the problem could be or what I can do to help remedy this?
