Hello everyone, quick question about my ARB locker in the my TJ. Sometimes the locker leaks (very loudly and noticable) inside of the diff while engaged, which obviously kicks my oba system on almost every 30 seconds. This does not happen all of the time either, happens randomly...any ideas? Thanks in advance!

is the locker new? age? abuse? hooked up correctly?,,, just pop the cover and have a lookey

I don't have an ARB, but I have heard of people complaining about air leaks in ARB lockers when its very cold outside.

My XJ had a D35 with an ARB locker when I purchased it. The previous owner had the same problem. Doing research on ARB's site gave me a break down of the locker assy. and I learned there's 2 o-rings on either side of where the air line connects to the ARB carrier. These are more than likely your problem. Over time these get old, from either the weather or misuse, and need replaced. I ordered these straight from ARB for a dollar something and popped the carrier out and put these in. Problems were gone...till I got rid of the POS 35 and swapped it with a D44...

I'm sure you know this but if you dont...if you pull the carrier out be really careful because the shims are on the outside of the bearings on the carrier...its easy to get these mixed up which in turn would F' up your backlash...
