I would buy the inserts & make your own top. Start off with a custom BIKINI & work your way from there. Work your way to a half cab, than full cover.

You are not going to be a whole lot warmer with the soft top/doors. It is not as windy, but it is not warm, even up here in the PNW where it is temperate...

Harkinoff:
I have a Bestop Soft top and I like it very well. Got it at the first of the year and its great so far....I don't like the velcro around the window frame but I have a plan to fix that when I have time.
JC Whitney sells the softop at a good price...that's where I ended up getting mine...about $500.00 delivered.

Snoopy:
How about those soft doors that will mate up to the Bestop Soft top you sell????? I sure would like to dump the metal doors....but I don't want finberglass inserts....its tall enough to get into now.

I got mine from Specialty Top Co. in Denver. You can get the top and skins in black or white, tint or no tint. The top is $450 shipped, $175 shipped for the door skins. You may have to wait a while as they may not keep it in stock. http://www.specialtytopco.com

Yep, lots of weight gone, and a lot easier to get in and out, especially if you are stopped off camber. Try opening a Scout II door, when it is on the uphill side of a good off camber slope...

Try opening my door on flat level ground without bruising your shoulder.. it doesn't get any more difficult off-camber. :D

My Bestop velcro window area stuff peels off all the time at the top of the door frame.. and no longer stretches around the rear of the door frame at all, so I stopped trying.

Umm, too many beauty marks... ;)

My rear flap ripped completely off. Nice even tear.

My mistake was using a 25 year old whitco top for wheeling. The old canvas just is not up to it.

Going to use it for a template to make a new one though.

For about that, you can buy lightweight black canvas from the fabric shops, remnants, throw some snaps on, and have a decent bikini top. We get a bad enough rap up here without running blue tarps for tops!!! ;)

You coming on the 19th, and you better say yes. I want to see your rig.

Also, anyone know what happened to Joe C? haven't heard from him in a while.
