I am running 38" toyo m/ts on my blazer. I will be installing a 14bolt ff with a

detroit locker in it, I have a trac-loc up front. I have been looking for a trail

spare and all I am finding is 37" tires. Will the size difference be enough to

mess up my lockers or should I hold out for a 38?

For a "get ya back to the trailer" spare you would be ok with a 37 vs a 38. But for any kind of driving around you need to go spend the money on the same brand and size tire.

Any variation in tire height and the two tires that are on the locked axle will be fighting each other whenever your going in a strait line. End result will be premature tire wear. Even variations in tire pressure when driven on the street can do the same damage.

It will depend on the actual height of the 38" toyo mounted and the actual height of the 37" spare when it is mounted. Different brand tires measure out differently even if the sidewall size says the same thing. Wheel width will change how tall the tire is too.

Sounds like a lot of hassle, I will just pony up for another toyo then. I drive to and from wheeling trips, dont want to risk it.
