Don't even compare these two axles...

I'm a big Spicer/Dana fan, but a Dana 60 can't be compared to a 14B

replace the number 60 with a 70 then you have a fight. till then listen to MR n, there's not even a fight to be had.

In BillaVista tech area, he has the weights and everything else you want to know, and evan stuff you don't want to know....

Hey, Your web page has been in my favorites for years!!! I'm going 1 ton with my EB. I just bought a 91' Dana 60 for the front and trying to figure out what to use in the rear. I wanted to find a stock 35 spline rear 60 until I found out no one has ever seen one! LOL At this point I'm leaning toward the 14 bolt. A chevy friend of mine loves em'

Just curious as too whats the biggest downfall for the D60 rear is I had mine in a differant project and am reusing it for my buggy only I havent had any problems with it yet but Im going from a former 35" tire to 42" (roughly)

if I wasn't going rockwells on my next build I would be ditching my 60 rear for a 14B. I twisted 2 sets of rear axles in as many years and broke a pinion.

I am happy with my dana 60 out of a van (smooth bottom). While at the junkyard swap the axles from a dana 70 van to get 35 spline.

35 Spline FF Dana 60s are in a few Chevy vans. Billavista has a link in his tech article.

Dana 70 axle shafts are longer... not a simple bolt in.

Go check the Spicer expert site, I can't find my chart.

van difs would be a good choice.
the ford p/u axles are too narrow IMO
