Love the pics of Bigfoot #1, crazy how that thing used to be such a monster especially with the 66s, now it don't look any bigger then alot of the mud trucks out there now. But its still the baddest one IMO.

Wow, I used to watch Dandy Don Klein race that very car about 30 years ago. I always cheered for Ed Dixon, but Klein was "the man".

The bummer about the restored Bigfoot is it isn't even supercharged (that thing coming through the hood isn't connected to the engine in any way). Just a crate SVO engine :(

Even if it is a crate motor, its still 640 cubes. :smokin:

16 I mean every girl that even showed looked 16. It was a shame but i still looked and thought, "thats just wrong"

It was chilly so there wasn't that many showing. Figure it'll be worse in January when the next one is. Gonna try and make it this year if i ain't hung over again

EDIT: and hopefully have something to play with. I've been down there 20 times and my play rigs always been broke

You can probably answer this question. My brother asked me what the biggest motor ford makes was. I figure it's a 5** something. No idea. Maybe 6**? Chevy has a 6** something right? Biggest i knew of for chevy was a 572

I think you can get a crate 514, but you can get a LOT more cubes out of a Ford block than that. ~640" is the max for a Chevy with standard bore spacing, but you can go closer to 700" on a Ferd.

Wrong! :flipoff2:

Look at the specs.

My dad was the one that built the tilt hood with the fake dual carb set up (he worked there for 17 years). Guess they wanted it to look cool.

I believe the motor is an all aluminum 640. Forgot who built it, but I dont think its just a crate motor. If I remember correctly its around 1200 hp NA.

If you think the fake carbs are gay, you should see the stacked frames on number 5. Pirate would be proud.

Buddy of mine is one of their drivers. He told me it was a pretty run of the mill crate engine. I've heard it run & his story lines up pretty good with that. NO WAY it's anywhere NEAR 1,200 HP. The all-motor Pro Stock mud drag guys who run MRA events are putting out about that kind of HP, and the way they run isn't even in the same category as that truck.

Ah, but that was how it was done "in the day":laughing:

talked to dan runte a while ago and the motor in foot1 is stock 460,the 640 is the one bob chandler built to make it up the big elm hill at gravarama years ago.sits on an engine stand at the shop.they would alos lock out the rear steer and put custom strange axles in the rear for certain comps.
