Does the 4.16 gear set use any stock gears? I have one with no directions and according to the 6.5 instructions I have no low range drive gear. The pictures online show what I have is right but I am confused due to lack of information.

edit: to clear up the mud. I bought a 4.16 gear set that has no directions. So I downloaded the set of directions for a 6.5 gear set. The 6.5 directions indicate I have no low range gear to put on the output shaft.

The pictures online show exactly what I was sent in the box, but due to lack of directions I do not know if I was given everything needed to complete this project.

The question of the day is Do I reuse the stock low range output gear with the rest of the 4.16 gear set?

You have one what with no directions? Do you have a stock case with a 4.16 set of gears to go in?

my 4.16 gearset I had once used some stock gears. look online for the set and in the advertisement or in the picture of the gears there should be indicated the ones that are replaced and which ones are reused.

You don't want to follow the 6.5 case gear instructions because with the 4.16 set you are not replacing the large low drive gear. everything else will be replaced. Its easier because you don't have to remove the large gear portion of that shaft.
