Okay, how 'bout this:

Gathering parts for next upgrade. I've landed a matched pair of Waggy D44s both offset passenger. Did some swapping with a yeep guy (he needed some YJ leaf packs I had laying around), plus I've promised to help him with his YJ SPOA project (I have the welder and air tools). I love the barter system. Just have to go pick the axles up. Oh yeah, they are complete, brakes and steering linkage.

Previous to the Waggy Dana deal, I had scored 4.10 gears and carrier for my Ram's front D44 for $50, but now I think I'll just drop down to 33" tires on the Ram (tow rig) and use the 4.10s with Slinky. Maybe. I dunno. Plenty of options; no wasted money as yet. Would need at least a 4.16 t-case to use the 4.10 ratio.

Tonight I made a solid deal on a 76 Blazer's D44 front and I already have the 3.73 gears sold (assuming they're okay). Picking up the axle Friday night (can't reveal price cuz you all would strangle me). I grabbed it cuz another yeep bud was splainin' his D44 setup and it looked like the driver's side knuckle on the Blazer front was what he was talking about. If that doesn't pan out, thought I might tinker with the idea of melding the Waggy rear D44 and Blazer front D44 into a rear-steer axle.

Anyhoo, it'll prolly be a while b4 I actually start this upgrade, but it's never too early to start rounding up parts I figger.

Hey Slinky,

Did we meet at Gilmer during the summer? Where you there for the member appreciation weekend?

I was the one driving this thing.

I got something new anyway.

I had just put the first piece of tube in it after getting it set up and my cell phone rang. It was my wife calling from 15ft away in the house. "I think I'm ovulating. Come inside now. We need to have sex."

I was truly torn on what to do next. :D

I was out there that weekend fer sher. But I've slept since then, so some of the details are a bit fuzzy. I plan to be back out there Oct 19. My rig broke while I was in the midst of an engine swap in my GF's Sami so I'll be in her white hardtop that weekend.

Clyde's Ravine? I think that's what it looks like you're coming down. There's some interesting lines on that trail.
