Not enough wheeling in my life lately, so I surfed to a local club site. Nice little Sam - almost in it as deep as Bill in Brazil. This guy just got some Terra Traks - I need to get in a run with this club one of these days.

Erik, Did you have your zuke on a trailer in Palmer, headed up the glen hwy.
towards Sutton about 6 weeks ago?
I also live in Wasilla and am looking for other Zookers in my area.
We should try to get together.
What all have you done to your zuke?

but I was at the Badland in Attica Indiana this past weekend and got swallowed whole by a mud hole!!

After I got pulled out I opened the door and about 75 gallons of mud poured out of the cab. I even have a High water mark on the doors just below the window.

The thing is just trashed, but it kept right on running till we got out and the K&N filter clogged fully with mud.

Gota get a Snorkle.....

Anyone know what is beeping in the cab with the key turned off? I hope I didn't trash a major electrical part (ECM....)
any clues?
I can e-mail pics, cant post em yet sorry.......:(

Yeah, I went to the Knik Glacier that day. We should get together before everything freezes up around here. The guy in the link I posted also drives up from Kenai pretty often with the rest of the club to wheel here in Matanuska Valley, and he has Terra Traks now also. Could be fun if we got several 'Zuks together. I have never seen more than two in one place up here.
Oriion,
I have seen the Badlands - that is some serious stuff when dry, it must be a blast when mudified. I highly recommend the snorkel and a water proof ignition system to go with it ( or a diesel hehehe).

Well, last friday they got 5" of rain or so, EVERYTHING was muddy!!

Wheeling when its pouring like that is....uh....Different :D

I didnt have problems with the electrics, just the mud caked K&N filter. It sure was fun!!!

Yea, an Oilburner would be nice, but right now I dont have the cash to do any more than reapir what I've got, after it blows then I'll look for soemthing better to drop in.

Gotta love those Terra tires!! Does anyone know what sizes they come in.?? Specifically, are there 33" or 35" terra tires?? They´d sell like crazy down here...

Pretty much just the 31s. There are 42 inch tractor tires with the name, but they are a whole 'nother level of heavy duty, I would guess the 42 in tire weight at 250 each, no rim. A 33 to 35 inch version of my Terras would be great. No such thing that I have found.

Mud is for the weak?
:p

Well, ok, the rocks are more technical. And the engineering is much more complex. Really, the costs of building for rocks is just a lot higher. In mud you just need big tires. In Alaska there are swamp buggies with tires taller and wider than my whole rig, no lie. You rock guys have to work a lot harder to get around. I hardly ever lift a tire. No rocks to "get strong" on.;)
