Has anyone ever considered instead of bobbing the rear end of a scrambler, reenforce the rear of the frame and relocate the springs to the very end of the jeep and comp cut the fenders. Just wondering. It would spread the wheel base to something ridiculous like 120" . Would that be too much torque on the frame while wheeling ?

Well i think i might want to see a stretched scrambler. What do you think?

If all you did is moved the axle back under the frame, it wouldn't be located under the rise in the frame anymore, and you might have clearance issues.

It isn't too hard to lengthen the frame in the middle, the frame below is a Scrambler frame with a 10" extension in the middle resulting in a 113.5 wheelbase. This one isn't going under a Scrambler body, but if you wanted to put it under a Scrambler body the rear 10" could be removed, resulting in a frame that's the same length as a stock Scrambler but with a longer wheelbase.

This is what mine looks like. I am at 116" right now, and I have a set of front waggy springs for the front that would put me at 118.5". It has Chevy springs in the rear to get 11" out back, and I relocated the front hangers another 2" for a total of 13" additional wheelbase over the stock 103". I did this because I DID NOT want to bob it and loose the storage space.
