I am a member of Make It Or Break It. www.miobi.org Used to be a proud member, but not so much anymore, because some of our club officials attempt to use their club position to dictate their morals to the other members.

That BS aside, we have some great events throughout the year on private ground that used to be coal mining area.

I am not too familiar with them, but I believe there are a couple of clubs that are closer to the area you will be in-I know for shure there are some pretty stoutly built rigs from the Waterloo and Cedar Rapids area that come to some of our events. Seeing as you apparently have a jeep by your sig line, you should maybe look into the local "jeeps only" club- couldnt tell you their website off the top of my head, but do a google search for JOCCI and you should find it.

4x4 Syndicate is based out of Des Moines but has a wheeling spot near Iowa City.

JOCCI is also based out of Des Moines and has a small wheeling area near Oskaloosa.

I have been to MIOBI a few times and it is a great time.

I live in Mc Clelland Iowa, closer to Omaha. Theres just jeeps of omaha. They seem to wheel at Tuttle Creek in Ks a lot. Its a 310 acre orv area, with camping and a lake etc. Its a tow for ya but a option.

Im looking to get back into jeeping right now. I race stock cars now and am getting worn out on it. 7 motors, 2 cars, a 40 ft enclosed, 14 gears could buy me the best jeep ever built, lol.

Hey Champ_ Lucky you:flipoff2: I got the boot to Iowa from my employer two years ago from Minnesota. I am in Cedar Rapids as well. I haven't done any wheelin' since my move but thats just cuz I got a s l o w build cookin' right now. I'm not sure what kind of wheelin' you're used to there in the Chicago area but I can't Imagine it's too different than MN or IA. MN at least has a couple OHV areas but they're up in the iron range near Duluth. IA's got no OHV parks for the likes of us. I do see quite a few rigs in the area though and have stumbled across some trails near the Cedar River which I'm sure is illegal but hey, with no parks, we are forced to poach! PM me when you get settled in.

Iowa has no public trails but there are several privately owned grounds to wheel on. Im a member of MIOBI as well the club BS is typical with any club but the grounds are awesome as well as most of the members.

I'm from IA and the only wheeling land is private so join a club of your choice and they should have land to wheel on.

Here in Madison County, the old level B roads are our stomping grounds...

My favorite is driving around the road closed sign, and dropping off into the River. The "caverns", it was called. Haven't been there in about 10 years. I was out in the Earlham Rock Quarry a little too.

To the OP, if you PM me, I can get you a phone number of the guys from Cedar Falls/Waterloo IA area. It is the Heartland 4X4 club. Mainly big blocks, dana 60's or Rockwells, Fords, and Chevies, but they will wheel with anyone.

I wheel with them when I can, and go to MIOBI sometimes too. I live in SW Iowa.
