1986k10 10-23-2009, 08:57 PM Swapping axles in my 1986 K10. both are 10 bolts and went to a 14 ff axle in rear and D 44 in front. Got everything done except hook up the front brakes. The 10 bolt (original axle in front) caliper has a square brake line connection. The D 44 has a different connection. Its a circle connection. Need help, cant find the right connection to my new caliper! Any help would be greatly appreciated! mac67 10-23-2009, 09:09 PM Don't hold me to this but couldn't you swap the calipers? gmcxt 10-25-2009, 10:01 AM Yes, I have a 1/2 ton dana44 I converted to 8 lug. I used 10 bolt backing plate, spindle, hubs, etc. But the calippers were junk so I used the original 1/2 ton dana 44 calipers. They are a little smaller but work for me. Why did you swap out the front 10 bolt. to match your 14bolt gear ratio? trkklr77 10-25-2009, 10:33 AM just swap cals or lines, not a big deal. | |
