Mark Jenkins/TRAXXAS is a super cool dude from Texas, big heart (like AJ Foyt, aka "Big Tex"). Real personable, warm, friendly..very similar to Alan Pflueger, Jesse Jones, Scott Steinberger. A real ambassador to the Sport, a real plus to an upstart series like TORC -- which is beginning to establish a brand-name.
Kyle Leduc Pro 4 #99, Practice/Fri [ TORC '09 LVMS ] (http://blip.tv/file/2763167)
Kyle Leduc Pro 4 #99 is a rising star, the youngest Borg Warner winner (under 30), from the last Crandon race. Kyle won Fri in Pro 4, he steadily worked his way thru the field, picking off competitors (incl his Dad, Curt..good friend of mine for 20 yrs) 1 by 1. You should have heard the crowd, cheering & waving arms when Kyle made those stunning passes.
Rob MacCachren #11 took Pro 2, he is simply the "Master", his experience shows. Like Kyle, he picked his way to the front, making cool/calm/collective passes. The local Las Vegas fandom was going crazy after the race, got it all on video. Will upload later.
Marty Hart took ProLite, this guy is like the above 2, just dominating the field.
Larry Job took super-buggy, passing 14 yr old C.J. Greaves (son of Pro 4 legend Johnny Greaves) on the LAST LAP. Look for CJ to walk in his father's footsteps, another budding young super-star in the making.
Trophy Lite had their 1st race at TORC, with big plans for 2010. Greg Foutz is all PUMPED about his new gig, he's got a new iPhone deal going for TL, mobile gaming. Should reach the masses, & take TORC (& Offroad Racing) to the next level.
