There are kits to do this, basically you interupt and/or redirect the vacuum signal to the CAD actuator. BD is one place that sells them. Many also just use vacuum switches from NAPA or the junkyard (off an EGR valve, for example). However, I think the 2002s may have done away w/the CAD, you may want to check that out first. (is it a 1500 or a 2500/3500?).

it is a 3500 . I need to back my trailer down my drive way and currently when I used my 1ton chevy i would just drop in low and leave the hubs un locked and it has worked great over the years . I am surprised that there is not a maunaul hub conversion for this truck but then i have not heard of any major problems with this system . Thanks for the info

Dynatrac sells a manual hub conversion, but its $$$$$. Just look for a CAD unit on the passenger side tube, if you don't have one, you're SOL on a cheap fix.

You could also look into an aftermarket sector for the t-case, not sure if they're available for yours or not, but I have seen them for similar t-cases. I sure wish the reverse in these trucks was a little lower.
