I just came across an 8 lug dana 44 drum brake front axle and was wondering if i could take the axles out of a dana 44 and attach the discs and everything off a disc brake 8 lug 44

The knuckles may be different. The disc brake knuckles may have a different knuckles-to-spindle orientation than the drum brake knuckle.
