I'm looking for some 17" aluminum rock rings for my buggy. I ripped a valve stem off this weekend and I want to make sure that won't happen again. They don't have to be anything special. Just a simple design with a few cut-outs around the edge to wash out mud, and a hole for valve stem access.

For reference here's what they'd be going on.

We can cut 1/4" on the laser and would be cheaper for that reason, otherwise we'll need to throw them on the mill for anything thicker. Let me know what you're thinking.

I was thinking 1/4". Do you think they'd hold up, or will they need to be thicker?
