My posts dropped off so here's what's up. I pulled my head off the heep and it's down to the block now. The head itself and rocker/adjuster assembly, valves, springs etc is all brand new so it's good to go. Now to the lower end. The #6 piston skirt closest to the firewall broke off and I also had a bent push rod in the same cylinder. I've checked the cylinder walls and luckily no scratches, gouges, etc. I was lucky. I checked all the pistons for twisting or bends and they are all in great shape excep for the ne in question. I was wondering though, I was thinking of a performance cam since it's all apart, has anyone done this recently and which one would you go with? Brand, what is needed to now when replacing the stock with a performance, mild, cam.
