ok so it might be late and i might be retarted, but here it is. so i am redoing the steering on my rubicon D44. and because of the D30 outers my tie rod won't clear the D44 diff housing. so would it work if i put a slight bend in the tie rod to clear it, would it hurt anything? thoughts?

if it is thick enought to handle the stress and not stretch or compress it will be fine. lots of solid bar tierods are bent from the factory.

there is also the offset tierod ends, that will push the tierod away from the diff about 3/4".

i am using 1.5" .250 DOM and 3/4" rod ends.

I run that exact setup on the same axle w/ the tera knuckle. I put about 3 or 4 degrees of bend at each end, Seems to work alright.

or you could just shorten your control arms 1/4"

If your running in the stock Y configuration onlly, the slight change in draglink angle by shortening/lengthening the control arms is enough to move the tierod +/- 1/4" from the diff cover. Seen many people get this problem by pushing the front axle to far forward.

If your going knuckle to knuckle with the tie rod, nevermind.
