I need some inspiration on a 4 seater FJ buggy :D I have a 2 seater, but woudl like to add passenger space on the rear of the cruiser, so it could become a family wheeler of sorts :)

I am playing with a couple of design ideas, and even contemplating a "removeable"rear section that could be installed and pretty much bolted\clamped\tubed on for family outings. The removeable option would only be used on milder trails, but would still have safety and security of passendgers in any event.

Here is a pic of the cruiser as is:

and a crapy photoshop redemption of the 4 seater approach. Most likely run with a rear bench of sorts :D

I appreciaet your ideas, input and pics of FJ 4 seaters for inpiration!

Thanks!

Thanks guys, but I can not take the credit for the cruiser build :D The cruiser belonged to Josh, and previoulsy to Johnny (POR), so has a great deal of history on it :D It is a very nicely built rig, and I already started modifying some (can not leave a good thing alone :D).

Geb, let me know when you need a hand on it. I would love to come out there and put some time in.

Maiden voyage for me with the Bugger (Buggy+Cruiser), on Fordyce, and the buggy did awesome! Some spots were wet making it more fun :D Some shots:

Geb, that hill can be a bitch. My fj40 at 95 wb was not even considering that side. I had to go right of the bush. We played on that line for awhile. Watched my friend take his mildly built mini right up the line you were on.

Yep, pretty tricky line. Did not look like much when I attempted the first (and second, and thrid...) time, but after airing down further and a bit of mixed finesse and "oomph" she went right up. The last pic gave me later a better idea of the climb.

I can not wait to take her out again :D

last weekend was a blast. I posted more info on the fordyce trail forum. Yep, was a bit chilly, low 20's at night (frozen water bottles inside the tent) :D

That line on driveline was TOUGH!!!! I only made it in my old flatty with a 103" WB. I look forward to getting back out there in the next ride.

Dima, yep, it did not look like much coming from the bottom of the hill, but was a bit wet leaving a pretty trick line. Was also the first time getting the Cruiser on 4x4, so I was not even sure on what to expect, how teh suspension would load\unload, etc. I can not wait to go back :D
