I'm needing some poly bushings for my hangers.I would like to find a bushing from a certain vehicle with a 2" O.D. bushing.I went to the Energy susp. site and they have some universal bushings but they are smaller than I'd like to use. Does anyone have any measurements on their bushings? This would help to know what vehicles have what sizes.I think this would be helpful to alot of people building things using poly bushing.

If we could find alot of different sizes it would be cool if there was a page here with all of them posted, then you could find a bushing to fit your project perfectly. :idea:Just an idea:idea:

The only ones I know off the top of my head are the Toy bushings. They are 1-3/16" OD, 18mm ID.

If you want to make shackle hangers for them, you can use 1-1/2" x .156" wall, or 1-5/8" x .219" wall (DOM). Either one has the necessary 1-3/16" ID.

If you want info for other makes, I'd suggest moving this to the General section. ;)

I can make custom poly bushings, if interested. I'm making some for the leaf spring eyes on the old VW pickups, they are a rather unique size. These bushings will be ~2" OD, 1" ID w/ a steel spacer in the middle and will run about $15/ea.

Thanks 4CrawlR, I might get with ya on that.I need to figure out exactly what I will need before I start buying them.I will definitly keep that in mind.Is that the only size you can make?I should have explained myself a little better:rolleyes: in my post.I was thinking that I would need some bushing's around 2".That's not a definite size, just a rough geuss. Thanks again. :D

I've got one poly bushing left over from my old Scout and they have a little play if I put them in 1.5" .120 wall. They are new bushings also, never installed. You can just bairly feel the play but there is some.I believe that the bushings should be a snug fit. I was kinda wanting a little bigger bushing(diameter wise).I may just get with 4crawlR and have him make what I need. Don't know yet just getting some idea's.Thank's

I can make most any size, I buy the polyurethane rod, cut it to length and turn it to the ID and OD desired. I can get 75A and 95A durometer.

Other option is to locate a bushings that's a bit oversize and turn it down and/or drill it out to match. I can do this as well, for example Toyota spring eye bushings drilled to accept 3/4" shackle bolts.

Only ones I know of for sure is Prothane and they tell me they use 92A on their bushings.

75 would be softer than 95 and I only know that from skateboard wheels. :flipoff2:

95A-101A is what is usually used for skateboard wheels (or at least that is what they are usually "rated" at), and that seems like it would be extremely hard for a bushing...???
